Team up with other players at the Joint Annual Rendezvous of Energie-Cités and Climate Alliance in Brussels from 22nd – 24th April 2009!

The motto "3x20: Play the game" stands for the energy and climate objectives of the EU in the year 2020. Following the publication by the European Commission of its ‘Second Strategic European Energy Review’ on security of supply (November) and the UN Climate Change Conference in Poznan (December), the "Covenant of Mayors" initiative of the EU Commission will be an important driver to reach these and is strongly supported by Energie-Cités and Climate Alliance.

That is why the Covenant will be at the centre of the conference where in a mixture of speeches, round tables, exhibitions and one-to-one meetings the following will be discussed:

• Which visions do we share? Which key priorities should guide us towards a sustainable energy future?
• What is the Covenant of Mayors and why is it important for local actors to be involved?
• Which practical tools and partnerships will help local authorities to carry out sustainable energy actions?
